Patricia Richardson, P.J. Benjamin & More Headed Off-Broadway in I Forgive You, Ronald Reagan

Four-time Emmy nominee Patricia Richardson (Home Improvement) and Broadway vet P.J. Benjamin (Wicked, Chicago) have signed on for the forthcoming off-Broadway production of I Forgive You, Ronald Reagan, a new play by John S. Anastasi. Performances will begin on July 15 at the Beckett Theatre on Theatre Row, with opening night on July 30, directed by Charles Abbott. The limited engagement is set to continue through August 25.

In addition to Richardson and Benjamin, the cast of I Forgive You, Ronald Reagan will include Robert Emmet Lunney (Mauritius, Born Yesterday) and Danielle Faitelson (Honky).

I Forgive You, Ronald Reagan centers on air traffic controller Ray Deluso (Benjamin), who has everything under control at work. But on the ground, his life is a struggle after a rebellious political decision in the early 1980s. Twenty years later, pride, anger, and obsession threaten the only things that matter to him: his wife and daughter. Can Ray find forgiveness and gain control, even if it means letting go?

The creative team for the off-Broadway production includes Craig Napoliello (scenic design), Kristy Leigh Hall (costume design), Jeffrey Koger (lighting design), Jason Crystal (sound design) and David Bengali (projection design).

I Forgive You, Ronald Reagan is being produced by Shirley Pechter, BareBones Theatre Company, Broadway Bound Productions, John Howard Swain and Mid-Life Productions.
